Aslak 140 is a Danish design by Per Weiss and Oliver & Lukas Weisskrogh which is handmade by Innovation Living. Aslak is handmade with 4 different mattresses. The Natural mattress consisting of Naturlatex, the comfortable Soft pocket spring mattress, the traditional Pocket spring mattress or the soft comfort foam mattress. With Aslak, you can transform your sofa to suit your needs.

It works super well as a traditional sofa, daybed, spacious lounge chair, or sleeping place for overnight guests - Aslak gives you the best conditions for engaging with friends and family or relaxing on your own.

The robust oak legs give a natural look while the mattress is easily pushed out and positioned as you wish.

It has removable covers, which allows you to freshen up your sofa, clean it or replace it if you want to change the color. The covers can be machine washed at 30 degrees Celsius. A durable one funktion, which extends the life of the Aslak sofa.

Removable and washable cover in durable furniture fabric made of recycled polyester

Choose between Traditional rounded cover, Sharp cover with a sharp edge or cover with buttons

The frame is made of steel and lacquered Matt Black

Legs are made of Solid Oak and lacquered for extra durability

You can choose the mattress as Natural Latex, Soft Pocket Springs, traditional Pocket Springs or Comfort Foam for optimal sitting comfort and lying comfort

Innovative and sustainable products

Removable, washable and renewable

In 2021 we increased – and still do – our focus on removable covers, as this option makes it easy to choose more delicate fabrics and allows the cover to be renewed at the end of its life cycle.
Simply remove, wash and reattach the cover – or replace with a new cover to refresh the look of your sofa.

Plant 10.000+ trees every year

To contribute to the balance of the global ecosystem plants Innovation Living more than 10.000 trees each year to help offset our wood consumption. The trees we plant are supervised by a certified forester.

Furniture fabric made from recycled plastic waste

Vivus and Argus are both OEKO-TEX certified furniture textiles made from 100% recycled materials made from recycled plastic waste..

Natural quality materials 

With Innovation Living they also make mattresses from natural latex that is tapped from the Southeast Asian rubber trees called Hevea Brasiliensis. Naturlatex is a very sustainable natural material that is uniquely CO2-negative.

Designs for flat packing

In addition to flat packaging, Værkstedet uses a minimum of plastic in their packaging and has switched to more sustainable packaging alternatives. They are not 100% carbon neutral yet, but they keep working hard to minimize their carbon footprint.

Certifications and Production

Oeko-Tex

This sofa bed is outstillone with an eye on the environment and health – and is certified with the Oeko-Tex label. The Oeko-Tex mark verifies that a product has been tested for harmful substances, produced under proper and safe conditions. Thus, textile products from Innovation Living naturally no harmful chemicals and substances. Øko-Tex is housed in Denmark by the Danish Technological Institute, and is managed by the international Øko-Tex association, which continuously updates requirements based on the latest knowledge.

Innovation Living have since 1989 Handcrafted all their furniture themselves in Danish design and continuously work with sustainable and CO2 neutral measures such as renewable energy and optimization of packaging, so that your new sofa bed takes up as little space as possible and thereby uses as little cardboard/packaging as possible.

Danish Crafts and Design

Since we get all ours delivered Innovation Living products directly from the workshop in Denmark, close to where Vi/Uniquebeds has a warehouse and showroom, we are in close contact with the supplier and the workshop all the time and can therefore ensure that all materials and workmanship are of the best quality.
